A false chimney breast was built from stud-work in between two cabinets in which a chamber was made and lined with oyster slate slim bricks. In this a Charnwood C4 woodburning stove was fitted on top of a Black Hearth. A wood mantle was fitted to finish off the firepalce.
Jonny also built the customer a recess into which they could fit their TV.
A stove thermometer has been put on the pipework to gauge the temperature of the fumes, and a stove fan has been placed on top of the fire to aid the circulation of heat by pushing warm air out of the chamber into the room.
